The Light’em Up Parade: A Glow Parade Like No Other
Share
There’s something magical about arriving early to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch for TMMR — the air feels different, the pace is slower, and the whole property becomes a playground of possibility as early campers settle in, reconnect with friends, and ease into the rhythm of the weekend. Those who come early know the secret: some of the best moments of TMMR happen before the event officially kicks off.

That early-arrival energy is exactly how the Light’em Up Parade was born.
Before the parade ever existed, we started opening things up early for the folks who love rolling in ahead of the crowd. We added live music, opened the Speed Shack bar, and brought in a few food trucks so early campers could grab a beer, enjoy a bite, and listen to some tunes as the Ranch came alive. It didn’t take long before the early birds began creating their own traditions.
Someone lit up their mini bikes — Matt & Katie Stout — and that’s really where the spark began. Then the Wolf Pack joined in, glowing and laughing as they lit up their own rides. Other riders decked out their motorcycles or themselves with lights.. Folks wrapped their golf carts in neon rope lights. Kids grabbed glow sticks. Before long, the Ranch was sparkling with color, and an impromptu parade began weaving through the darkness — glowing wheels bouncing across the field, laughter echoing from campsite to campsite, the sound of engines humming under a Tennessee night sky.

What started as a spontaneous moment has grown into one of TMMR’s most beloved early-week traditions.
Today, the Light’em Up Parade welcomes everyone — adults, kids, mini-bikes, motorcycles, even fully lit-up golf carts. We encourage everyone to get creative: neon lights, EL wire, LED strips, glow outfits, light-up helmets… the more over-the-top, the better. As dusk settles and the Ranch fades into darkness, the parade forms like a glowing river, rolling through camp with hoots, hollers, and cheers from every direction.

It’s playful. It’s chaotic in the best way. And it brings the entire early-arrival community together in a way no formal event ever could.
And the night doesn’t end there. After the parade wraps up, karaoke takes over, giving guests the chance to share their own voices — and wow, every year we discover incredible singers who bring the house down. It’s the perfect follow-up: a glow parade through the Ranch, followed by a full-throttle talent show powered by laughter, courage, and a whole lot of personality.
The Light’em Up Parade is more than a kick-off — it’s the moment early arrivers feel the Ranch come alive, and the moment everyone realizes something special is about to happen all weekend long.
