The Creek Party Throwdown: Harley-Davidson Style

The Tennessee Motorcycles & Music Revival (TMMR) festival is renowned for its adrenaline-pumping motorcycle action, scenic rides, and incredible live music. But amidst the roar and rhythm, is a whole different kind of thrill that adds a unique twist to the TMMR experience: the Harley-Davidson Creek Party.

In just a few years, this creekside “hangout” has grown into a fan-favorite tradition — reminiscent of a big Southern reunion. Situated along Hurricane Creek at the Waterin’ Hole, event-goers trade in riding gear and arrive in shorts and bikinis with beach chairs and floaties in tow to soak up the sun and cool off in the creek water and take in all the fun.

Harley-Davidson Events

Harley-Davidson is a major sponsor of TMMR and hosts events around the world to bring people together because riding is about more than just the road — it’s about community, connection, and a shared love of freedom on two wheels. These gatherings celebrate the lifestyle that defines the brand, creating spaces where riders can swap stories, check out new bikes, and feel part of something bigger. That’s why Harley-Davidson is proud to sponsor the Creek Party at TMMR, because nothing captures the spirit of riding quite like good music, great company, and a little fun in the Tennessee sun!

Hog Roast

There’s nothing like a Southern reunion without a hog roast at the heart of it all. It’s more than just a meal, it’s a time-honored tradition rooted in community, flavor, and Southern pride. In the rolling hills of Tennessee, the scent of hickory smoke and seasoned pork fills the air long before guests arrive. A whole hog, slow-cooked over open coals and basted to perfection, turns steadily on the spit while folks gather 'round, swapping stories and sipping sweet tea or cold beer. A hog roast isn’t just about the food, it’s about the people, the laughter, and the memories made under the open sky.

And in true rowdy, spirited fashion, the team at Led Sled Customs not only handles the hog, they also bring plenty of shenanigans to go with it.

Danger Dan

Hosting the Creek Party is none other than Danger Dan. A true OG at TMMR, he’s been part of the event since its very first year in 2017. Hailing from Aledo, Texas, Danger Dan is an American motorcyclist and podcaster known for his weekly show, Danger Dan’s Talk Shop, where he chats with a wide range of guests about motorcycles and life on the road. Dan has ridden extensively across the country on all of his bikes — from vintage builds to street machines to one of the first Pan Americas built — sharing stories and interviews from his adventures along the way. One of his Harley-Davidson motorcycles is even featured in the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee!

Kickstart Competition

A fan-favorite, Danger Dan hosts the TMMR edition of his Danger Dan’s International Kickstart Competition, a high-energy showdown where anyone can enter their bike. Winners walk away with serious bragging rights — and some pretty cool prizes, too.

Kickstarting a motorcycle is a satisfying, old-school ritual that connects rider and machine in a way that electric starters will never match. You start by turning on the fuel valve and switching the ignition to "on." Then you locate the kickstarter lever — usually tucked on the right side of the bike — and unfold it if it’s spring-loaded. With the bike in neutral and one foot firmly planted, you bring the lever up to the top of its stroke with your other foot, feeling a bit of resistance as the engine sets itself. Then, with a quick, strong downward kick, you drive the lever through its full motion. If done right, the engine growls to life with a burst of combustion and vibration. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries — especially with older or finicky bikes — but that satisfying rumble that follows makes it all worth it! Anyone can take part and the energy is exciting as the rider gets his/her stance, kicks it, and we all wait to hear the engine roar to life!

An Unforgettable Experience

TMMR is packed with action and a lot to do, but the Harley-Davidson Creek Party stands out as a must-hit event where all walks of life come together to unwind, connect, and let loose. Picture a scene full of smiling faces, sun-kissed skin, inked arms and bodies, and good vibes all around. It’s where strangers become friends, music echoes off the water, and everyone’s just there to have a damn good time.

So mark your calendar, pack your floaties, and don’t forget your party spirit — the Creek Party is calling, and you won’t want to miss it.
