Camping at TMMR: What to Expect on the Majestic Ranch
Share
If there’s one piece of advice we give every TMMR newcomer, it’s this: stay on the Ranch if you can. There’s nothing quite like waking up on Loretta Lynn’s Ranch — the smell of coffee drifting through the trees, the slow hum of early risers, and a sky so big and clear it feels like you can reach up and touch it. At night, you fall asleep under a blanket of stars with the scent of campfires in the air. It’s peaceful, it’s social, it’s a little wild… and it’s unforgettable.
People say TMMR is like the grown-up version of the camping adventures they had as kids — friendly, relaxed, and full of that free-spirited energy. You feel connected to the land and to the folks around you the moment you arrive. Hard to believe you’re only about an hour from the wild pace of Nashville, because once you’re here, you’re deep in the country in the best possible way.

Arrive Early, Settle In, Camp With Your Crew
If you make your RV reservation early enough, you can arrive as soon as the weekend before the event. Power RV sites must be reserved in advance — they cannot be held by arriving early — but early arrival does give you more time to get settled, set up comfortably, and meet up with friends who are camping nearby. One of the best parts of staying on the Ranch is being able to build your little neighborhood of riders, friends, and familiar faces before the main crowd rolls in. It’s also a chance to get out and explore the area, take a ride to Memphis, Nashville or any of the small towns nearby. There’s a lot of riding whichever direction you choose.
Choose Your Camping Style
No matter your style, budget, or comfort level, TMMR has a place for you. The Ranch was intentionally designed to welcome everyone — from RV’s and campers of any size, to glampers and die-hard tent-camp folks.
Stagecoach Hill – RVs Only (The Premium Experience)
This is one of the most in-demand camping areas on the Ranch. These spots move fast, and for good reason.
- RV-only
- 50-amp power + water
- Spacious, scenic, premium feel

Honky Tonk – Close to the Action
A mix of 30-amp and 50-amp RV sites on grass, and one of the most convenient locations on the Ranch. If you like being near the hub of activity, this is the place. Music, food, vendors, demos — everything is a short walk away.

Area 3 – A Little Slice of Everything
This area is a fan favorite because it brings everyone together. Area 3 is an open field with one side lined by Hurricane Creek and where all styles of camping blend. It’s a bit of a walk from the main hub, but the reward is brighter stars, more space, and a whole lot of country charm. If you want more solitude, you can even set up at the far end down ranch or alongside the creek..
- RVs
- Primitive camping
- Tent camping
- Glamping
- Vehicle camping
Glamping – The Perfect “Easy Button”
If you’re new to camping or just want comfort without the hassle, glamping is the way to go. These tents come fully set up — real beds, sheets, blankets, a cozy vibe — all waiting for you when you arrive. It’s camping, but with a touch of luxury and zero setup stress.
RV Rentals – Great for First-Timers or Groups
If you don’t own an RV, renting one is a fantastic option. They come in all shapes and sizes, from budget-friendly to all-the-bells-and-whistles. Many guests have discovered they love RV life because they tried it at TMMR.
Tent Camping – Classic, Simple, and Fully Immersive
For the serious campers, all you need is your bike, a tent, and a good patch of grass. TMMR’s earliest mission was to make the event accessible to everyone, and that remains true today — whether you’re living large on Stagecoach or pitching a tent next to the creek.

Amenities - Free and Clean (With Your Help!)
The Ranch has free restrooms and shower houses, and we want to keep them that way. Simple courtesy goes a long way. We just ask everyone to:
- Respect cleanliness
- Treat facilities like they’re your own
- Be kind to fellow campers
Critters, Common Sense & Camping Etiquette
As with any outdoor camping, we ask guests to follow a few basics. It’s nothing complicated — just the standard good-neighbor stuff that keeps everyone comfortable and safe.
- Do not leave garbage or food out overnight
- Do not build fires directly on the ground
- Turn off loud generators late at night
- Respect your neighbors’ space and peace
Food Trucks, Coffee, and Late-Night Bites
You won’t go hungry at TMMR. There are food trucks serving breakfast, coffee, snacks, and late-night eats, so whether you need a morning pick-me-up or a hot dog at midnight, you’re covered. Plus there is a camp store, country store and gift shop on the Ranch so you don’t have to go far for anything.
Nearby Hotels for the Non-Campers
If camping simply isn’t your thing, that’s okay too. Our hotel partner, Holiday Inn, is just 7 miles away, a straight shot from the Ranch. Convenient, clean, and close enough to come and go easily. There are a few other hotels as well.
Respect the Ranch & Its People
The Ranch is private property, and we ask everyone to treat it with respect. The Ranch hands and staff work incredibly hard year-round to keep the land, facilities, and amenities beautiful and clean for you. Please be mindful, respectful, and appreciative — it goes a long way and helps us keep this place special for future generations of the TMMR family.
